Dance teachers at least 18 years of age who have a minimum of three years teaching experience and who can pass the prescribed examination in at least one subject are eligible for membership. The candidate must have attended one session before applying for membership. Dues are $60 annually, and the nonrefundable examination fee is $40.

Teachers applying for membership to TATD must register as nonmembers.
