Hello! I would like to welcome you to the TATD website. TATD is a professional dance organization that has been around for over 80 years! TATD is dedicated to educating dancers and the next generation of teachers. Our goal is to advance the art of dancing by providing stimulating instruction from the most current choreographers in the world of dance at our summer convention and to improve the methods of teaching dance. We provide teachers a cooperative/collaborative opportunity to learn from these same choreographers at convention and to share with other teachers in their profession throughout the year.

Our 2011 Convention was held in Richardson, Texas. We had a successful convention and amazing faculty that inspired and invigorated our students and teachers. Our TATD family is strong, faithful, and growing.

If you are a teacher looking for an organization full of tradition that holds the dance teaching profession to the highest standard, I encourage you to attend our convention in June and take a test in ballet, tap, or jazz to become a member. Contact our examinations chairman for further details. If you are a student looking for an incredible convention opportunity to learn from some of the best choreographers in the dance world, our convention is for YOU, but you must tell your teacher about us first!
